Pre-Post Procedure Care

Micro Pigment Implantation, otherwise known as Permanent Cosmetics is a two or more step process. The results cannot be determined until after the touch up applications. We perform this service to the best of our ability, and to achieve the desired results, your cooperation is required in the following instructions.

Eyebrows

Swelling: Very slight. A little redness in the immediate area is typical.

Powder Brows

Keep area clean and dry.
Day 1: Wipe with baby wipe or barely damp paper towel every 30 minutes-1 hour, blot dry and apply grain of rice amount of afterinked lotion to each brow. Repeat this sequence every 30 minutes-1 hour until bedtime.
Day 2: Repeat sequence 4x...Morning, Lunch, Dinner and Bedtime.
Day 3-10: Repeat sequence 2x daily...morning and night.

Hairstroke Brows

Moisture: Keep area clean. Do not apply anything to the area for the 1st 7 days. After 7 days, apply AfterInked lotion to the area once in the morning and once before bed for the remainder of the flaking period. Apply VERY modestly. No white from the lotion should be visible.

If a crust appears on the pigmented surface, DO NOT FORCE THE REMOVAL BY PICKING, SCRATCHING OR WASHING!!! PIGMENT MAY BE REMOVED ALONG WITH THE CRUST!!!

Healing occurs in stages. First it will be dark, and then begin to flake off. After flaking it will appear that the color has almost disappeared. Do not be alarmed. Although not all color will stay after the first session, the color will gradually fade back in to a more natural shade. Remember, color can always be added but not taken away without expensive laser treatments. It is better to start with less and add more color if needed at the touchup.

Avoid for 1 week:
• Soaps, facial cleansers, water on pigmented areas
• Washing pigmented area
• Chlorine pools
• Retin-A on pigmented areas
• Makeup on pigmented area for 5 days, including non-allergenic
• Hot, steamy, long showers
• Sun on pigmented areas
• Jacuzzi or saunas
• Terry towels on pigmented areas
• Shower with your back to the water to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner from getting into the pigmented areas.

Do not be alarmed by fading after the first application. The final color cannot be judged until at least 4 weeks after the touchup applications are completed. This is the reason follow-ups are required.

EYELINER

Swelling: Moderate. An ice bag may be applied for the first few hours. Ten (10) minutes on and ten (10) minutes off. Following the procedure, you may find the area slightly puffy for the first few mornings. An ice bag placed on the eyed on the second day for a few minutes in the morning along with sleeping somewhat propped up on your back will make a difference if you know that you have a tendency to swell.

Aftercare

Day 1: Blot gently every hour
Day 3: Gently/Quickly wash with mild soap. Blot dry and apply the smallest amount of Vaseline possible to lash line. Do not use Neosporin, Bepanthan. Plain Vaseline only. Repeat sequence morning and night until flaking is complete.

If eyes are excessively dry, ARTIFICIAL TEARS may be used MODESTLY.
